2. Service Description

CaddieConnect is a platform that connects golfers with professional caddies for golf course bookings and services. We facilitate bookings, payments, and communication between users.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service
• One account per person is permitted

3.2 Account Types

• Players: Can book caddie services and make payments
• Caddies: Can offer services and receive payments

4. Booking and Payment Terms

4.1 Booking Process

• Bookings are subject to caddie availability
• Payment is required to confirm bookings
• Cancellation policies apply as specified in the app

4.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Platform fees may apply to transactions
• Refunds are subject to our cancellation policy

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 General Conduct

• Use the service lawfully and respectfully
• Provide accurate information
• Respect other users and golf course rules
• Maintain professional behavior during services

5.2 Prohibited Activities

• Harassment or discrimination of any kind
• Fraudulent or misleading information
• Circumventing payment systems
• Violating golf course rules or regulations

6. Caddie Services

6.1 Service Standards

• Caddies must provide professional, reliable service
• Services include course guidance, equipment assistance, and support
• Caddies must maintain appropriate golf course attire

6.2 Independent Contractors

Caddies are independent contractors, not employees of CaddieConnect. We facilitate connections but do not control how services are performed.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• 24+ hours before: Full refund minus processing fees
• 2-24 hours before: 50% refund
• Less than 2 hours: No refund unless extraordinary circumstances
• No-shows: No refund

8. Platform Fees

CaddieConnect charges service fees to maintain and improve the platform:

• Booking fees may apply to transactions
• Fees are clearly disclosed before payment
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law

9. Limitation of Liability

CaddieConnect is not liable for:

• Actions or conduct of users during golf services
• Damages occurring on golf courses
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Service quality disputes between users

10. Dispute Resolution

• First, contact our support team for assistance
• We may mediate disputes between users
• Unresolved disputes may require legal resolution
• South African law governs these terms

11. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

12. Intellectual Property

• CaddieConnect owns all platform intellectual property
• Users retain rights to their own content
• Users grant us license to use content for service operation

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings.

We may terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent activity
• Abuse of other users
• Legal requirements
